The south coast of Thailand is known to house some of the best beaches and scenery in the world, and Railay Bay is considered to be one of, if not the best, in the region. Cut off from the mainland by lush jungle, towering limestone cliffs and the warm Andaman Sea, it can only be visited by boat.
Just 10 minutes from Railay Bay are the Poda Group of islands. Koh Poda no more than a kilometre in diameter is covered in palm trees and almost entirely encircled by a soft white sand beach. The most amazing feature of the island appears during low tide when a sand bar emerges from the sea and links all the islands.
A coral reef lies approximately 20 meters offshore, providing fantastic swimming and snorkeling making it one of our favourite destinations to visit.
The most advantageous aspect of visiting Krabi is that it is much quieter than some other destinations, even in high season. If visiting during the monsoon season it is not uncommon to have the islands to yourself.
